Cannot Get The Talon To Run Right!!!!!

Ok, I have a 92 eagle talon, 193000 miles, compression was good, 2.5" full exaust, K&N filter(a little dirty), MBC, 2.5" upper intercooler pipe and I think thats it. My problem starts with the idle. It wants to idle good when it wants to. sometimes it will idle good and sometimes it will idle bad. It will be sitting at about 900 and then it will drop down to like 600 and stumble like hell. It gets really bad in the heat. When i go to take off, it will drive sluggish in firstand then will likerelease this power from somewhere and take off. it is almost like the turbo is stuck or something. then once I am in second the car will be okay unlessI try to get some boost, it will act like it is misfiring or something. Sometimes it will pull good but most of the time it sucks. Then comes third gear. it is usually not too bad. it will pretty good most of the time. fourth and fifth are pretty good most of the time too.I really havnt done a boost leak test yet, but would that really cause all the problems that i am having? Also when i go to boost Iget this whoooooooo noise that drives me nuts. I have ngk plugs, soit isnt the plugs. I have a walbro 190 fuel pump so it isnt fuel cut or anything i would think. I have changed the coil, adjusted the cas, cleaned the egr valve out. It will also sit and idle an every few seconds it will sound like it is almost choking. I also replaced the gasket in between the manifold and turbo, cause my old one was shot, it seemed like it fixed the problem, but the next day t drove like crap again. I think my turbo is ok, it doesnt have any shaft pay or any marks of rubbing. I dont know what the deal is but I am almost getting ready to give up on it.

Agreed. Also, why you are it, make sure that all vacuum lines are in good shape and are not broken or cracked. You basically dont want any leaks at all. Once that is done then we can go from there.

Ok, I just ordered a j pipe finally, so I will be able to get the front mount hooked up. Once I have all the pipes in place I will do a boost leak test. All the vacuum lines have been replaced with the silicone ones. By the way those are junk. I have noticed some of them melting, so I replaced the ones that wer close to any source of heat with the originals. Hopefully this whole thing is boost leaks, cause this car is driving me insane the way it runs. Id probably get beat by a metro the way it runs. Also where could the boost leaks be coming from other than the intercooler pipes?

I don't know what kind of condition your spark plugs and wires are in but it could be somthing as simple as that. I had a very similer problem on my non-turbo it was sluggish and felt like it was pulling back and sputering. I had Accel Super Stock wires (which by the way are crap) i replaced them with a new set of 7mm NGKs and have never had a problem since.
 
my plugs and wires are in good shape. I have replaced them two or threee times just to make sure i didnt get a defective set by chance. I have the ngk 7es plugs, and autolite wires, only decent set sold around here
 
I am starting to wonder if I am expieriencing knock or pulled timing. I was reading a lot of threads yesterday on timing pulled and phantom and real knock. I just dont know what it really sounds like. I am in the process of getting a logger with the software to read my knock counts. I was reading the third gen lifters are a nice upgrade for the knock. I imagine you want the ones out of the v6 right? Anyway, I am going to try and get that logger hopefully so at least I can see what is going on. My ecu is a new one, I had to replace it due to the capacitors leaking the fluid and ruining my original. I checked i a few weeks ago and it still looked okay.

How do you do an intake test? I have never heard of that. I was wanting to know, if it is maybe my fuel pump needs rewired. Would a bad ground on the pump cause it to run bad?
 
I am holding out to get my j pipe in the mail that way I can hook up the front mount and then test all the new aluminum pipes. Hopefully the leaks from the old pipes are doing all of this. I am also wondering if it is my intercooler getting heatsoaked, cause everything gets worse when the car is warmed up and/or it is hot outside.
 
I got my j pipe and front mount hooked up this weekend. It stopped the wooooo sound when I drive it. But it still hesitates. We did a boost leak test on it and nothing was leaking. I have noticed today on my way to work that it start to fell like it is being held back once I get to 3k rpms. before that if I am driving normal it seems to be fine. After 3k is passed thats when I feel it being held back by something.

Havnt heard from anybody in awhile, HELP ME OUT (LOL)
