Cannot find part new anywhere!

I've tried all the stores nearby and searching online and I absolutely cannot find a shifter assembly for a turbo 1g.
I even tried calling a dealership and they basically told me to sit and spin.
Any ideas on where I can find a new one or is that basically out of the question?

I dsaw the entire thing on eBay. Shifter, and base. If you can't find it on eBay I'd go to a welder. They can easily fabricate or fix yours.

Look in the classifieds on this site, if the junk yards don't work out.

http://millerimportparts.com/ Give him a call, tell him what you need. They are a DSM parts yard. You shouldn't need a "new" assembly. I'm guessing you're building a car or swapping and need it?

If not just look up some threads on here about replacing shifter bushings. There is bunch of plastic type bushings that end up wearing out. You can order them, get solid shifter base bushings good to go. Unless you simply don't have one, what exactly is your problem? No shifter or its all loose and crappy like mine .

There may be one buried in warehouse somewhere if you're looking for a brand new one.... You have to remember these cars are 20+ years old.

Well I'm converting into a turbo and I swapped the transmission, changed cables and everything and realized that the shifter assembly wasn't the same but the one I got from the donor car was in garbage condition (previous owner did little to no maintenance to the vehicle and all around ran it to the ground). Anywho, my shifting is all kinds of sloppy, sometimes it won't completely engage and I know it's because of how god awful the thing is. I'm going to give new bushings a shot for now in the meantime and see what else I can do to clean everything up. I appreciate all the info guys!
