Can a wastgeate freeze whenever it want to?

I felt like going for a drive today, and when I went to hit noost, it felt like an n/a..I could hear the turbo spooling and gauge reading boost, but felt like there was no boost going into the engine...

I checked vac lines, boost lines, ic piping, nuts and bolts that make gaskets tighter..Or It could be a crappy bov leaking..

Can anyone help me on the issue, I know theres tons of turbo spools but no power threads, but I kinda watnt to know WHY!!

Well your thread is miss marked. If your reading boost then your wastegate is working.. You have another problem.. Boost leak, bad front o2, high temps, bad knock sensor... Alot of stuff but if your building boost in the same fashion as before it is fine...

It did feel alittle hot, and my fan was running..
But I did just put another stock 1g bov, by stock I mean not modified..

It did boost when I came up that first hill, but after that nothing..Wait bov was working then...:hmmm: Musthave been hot.. I did not check upper and lower coolant hoses, while hot..Also can't seem to remember if it blowed off when I didn't notice boost, and let off gas and shifted..

I only let it get to 15 psi before i didn't want want to overspin the turbo if it had been an ic pipe or something..Once it hit 15 the 1st time, the next time i was watching the rpm's and boost guage before shifting when i noticed n/a like performance showing boost...

If RPM's climb very slowly check your alternator.
