Can vaccum hose be too small?

I have searched for this, but unsuccessful. I have recently bought a dejon L pipe with there new greddy type s knock off. The hose they sent me is a lot smaller in diameter than what I had on my apexi and stock bov. I am not a newb, but was curious if this hose might be too small and if it could create any problems, like the bov not opening properly. The hose is stretched alot just to go over the nipples on the bov and manifold, so tight you cant pull it back off, to help you visualize how tight it is. My original hose was cut too short to fit the new bov. Thanks for your help, and sorry if this is a stupid question.

Do you reccomend the single spring mod, does it make the bov louder, and yes I am recirculating.

A lot of people with the Greddy like the single spring mod. While you're taking apart your BOV though, you might as well replace the diaphragm with a genuine Greddy diaphragm and save yourself the failure of the knock-off diaphragm that will most likely occur.

Vacuum hose of all sizes is available at your local auto parts store for cheap. I would recommend getting a diameter that allows you to put the hose over as much of the nipple as you can without getting it stuck on. Use a spring clamp like the ones that come on the stock hose to keep the hose on.

I did manage to get the hose to cover both nipples all the way, but will it matter being so much more smaller in diameter?

Read this thread. Pay special attention to DiamondStarM's posts, as he's the one with the most experience with this BOV and diaphragm replacement. Posts #33 and #87 are the really interesting ones. Post #96 is where he lists a few vendors of just the diaphragm. It's about $70-80, but drops right into the knock-off's body.
