can someone help me with my fog lights?!?!

so my fog light fuse keeps buring out, i have narrowed it to the driver side one. it wierd because when i take off the bolts and hold it in my hand they stay on, the mintute i screw the bolts in i can see little sparks as if the casing itself has current??? any advice on how to fix this?

Is the fog light wired up backwards? That could lead to exactly what you have going on but the lights will still work since the bulb doesn't care which side is positive and which side is negative. Might check the connection with a volt meter to see which wire is hot.

It's either a short, not grounded, or backwards, as stated by 1990TSI.

would it be a grounding issue or a short even though if the passenger side turns on when i disconect the driver side? the moment i connect the driver side one and mount it it blows the fuse

The problem has to be in the driver side, then. Check to make sure it's in right and the hot is connecting to hot. If all of that is correct, then look for a short or loose connection along the wiring.

I would make sure they are connected correctly and make sure there there is no open areas in the power wire that could be arching on the chassis.

Update: so i fixed them! It seems like the lines to the condenser were touching the assembly? I just carefully bent them a little lower..I also did take the fog light apart and re-assembled so im not sure what fixed them.
