is there any ways to tell if its a T25 or not... like right off the bat.

the thing is tiny, but I beat stock SRT4's, mustang GT's and everything else and the car is pretty much stock, I dont understand it. Why is my car doing what it is doing.. I'm almost scared to mod it, it might get slower

Well you can use the search function and find pictures of turbos to see what you have. I don't know the physical dimensions of a t25 because I am a 1g guy but I am not surprised that you can beat the cars you mentioned with your stock turbo. You have to know what vehicles you are racing(NO STREET RACING:nono: It is a rule of this forum) because until 98 the mustang only came with 215hp and the Neons are slow unless a good driver is behind the wheel. If you want an idea of whether or not your is performing better than a stock one then just go to the track and run it. Then all you have to do is compare your times with other stock 2gs.

Does it have a j-pipe? T25's come out at the bottom. 16g's come out at the top that's where the j pipe comes in at.

If it a T25 the outlet hooking to your lower I/C pipe should be pointing towards the passenger fender. Also how is a SRT4 slow? Dynoed one bone stock and made 248 whp. Added a 150 dollar WG actuator and made 293 whp. Not to change the subject. If his car is stock and beating 99- GT's and SRT4's the he got a nice car haha. On the track of course.

It could be quite possible he may have the BCS restrictor removed, T-28 - (possibly ported). If you recently purchased the vehicle, do you know much about DSM's. If you do not, without a pic, then we can not help that much. for all we know you have a 20G downfaced turbo, - who knows?

To think, if he had the stock appearing T-28, maybe even ported, and the restrictor removed, then that would be appropriate to the cars he outran.

and blow it up ;)

with stock fuel.

if its upgraded, he would see some type of fuel control. a t28 wouldnt run on stock injectors in race situations,

It's T-25 for sure, man. I mean think about it, if your car was stock when or if you bought it, and you haven't replaced or swapped the turbo, THEN it would be a stock turbo, which all 2g cars have is a T-25.

Gald to help! :thumb:

well.. my car is unbelievably quick. Like faster then stock SRT4's I'd say a high 13 at like 100mph. I heard this is impossible with my mods

Unorthodox U/D crank pulley
Turbo XS RFL BOV
BCS restrictor removed
2.5 testpipe
2.5 catback
K&N filter
skunk2 coilovers
tokico blue shocks
no spare tire/jack

otherwise full weight. I'll go out on a limb and say I'm a good driver.

correst me if I'm wrong but isnt it a rfl(not rofl) and doesnt it only have one"horn" not two?

Could be a t-28 you would have to take the intake pipe off and get a pic of the fins to tell.

A t-28 would be fine with not fuel mods on wg pressures. I have used them as stock replacements for people that inset on a new turbo.

youd say that... I've owned some fast cars before this. I know what a car can do.

Trust me its a high 13ish car.

The T28 and T25 look the same on the outside (FP Big28 is the shiney new one on the left):

If you pull your intake pipe off of the compressor inlet and look at the compressor wheel, you might be able to compare it to this:

Here is a close-up of the FP Big28 compressor wheel:

And here is one of the T25 (way broken BTW):

And just for grins, here is a pic of the exhaust side of both (not quite so easy to check ;) ):

Do you have a boost gauge? If your boost falls, its a T-25. I dont know, I doubt its a T-28.... if the car is stock and if you know the current mods. I'm sure when you bought it, the guy would have used the "new turbo" as a sales pitch if he had replaced it.

Oh, with your high 13's at 100mph remark - take it to the track, there's no way you can tell with a feel from your ass.
