I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I want to swap the engine mounts so I can use a 4g63 engine. What would I need to do or how much money it would cost?

I've seen this question asked quite a few times, and looked into it myself before owning an Eclipse. Essentially it will cost WAY more money than its worth. Both engines are sort of opposite if you would of each other. For example the transmission on the 4G63 is on the drivers side while the 420a is on the passenger. You'd need to fabricate custom mounts, get a new trans, ETC, and probably a lot more. Honestly it'd be easier and cheaper to find a GS-T or GSX that needs some work.I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I want to swap the engine mounts so I can use a 4g63 engine. That's pretty gutted, but he hasn't listed what trim level it was. I suggest you look at this if it was a 420a equipped car.I ask the funny thing is im 13 and I need to buy a body so would you know if this body would work?

You said it was a GS? Then it was 420a equipped, hence read the thread from the link in my last response.I know its gutted I have an eclipse to put the parts on it and Im buying an engine for it.
If I cant get the body do you have recommendations for an engine I could put in the gs?
My mistake, I haven't been up to my car in a long time. I knew they were opposite of each other and couldn't remember which was which side. Should have looked at my repair manual before replying. My 4G63 tranny is on the passenger (right) side not the drivers side. May want to double check but anyway the 2 engines are oriented opposite to each other making swap a lot of work between the 2 different layouts.
