I am completely mechanicly inempt, well I'm a fast learner but I don't know crap. To add insult to pain I only own hand tools.

I currently have a 95 Talon TSI. Its rusted through in towers. I don't want to hear it.
I can either sell the car to an unwittying buyer or get some sort of shell and swap the guts out.

Basicaly what type of expenses am I looking at, does the engine need to come out the top or the bottom, can I put the 4g93 into a non-turbo car or will the mounts not match up. I really feel... well I am, screwed right now.

take an engine out of a 1g gst, it will mount up fine. it will prolly be easier to lift the engine out. i just recently did my first engine overhaul in my vo tech class, and it was on my eclipse, and i just started doing mechanics. over all id say it was damn easy.

ok for one no the 4g63 will not match up, you'll have to do some work to get it in there. the 4g63 is the oposite of the 420A so everything is on the other side of the car. now as for the body, if it's rusted that bad yea get a new one. if it's not too bad i would just say do a little sheet metal work. i would really have to see pics of it to tell ya if it would be even worth it. the motor can come out the top. i currently am doing an engine swap on my 95 eclipse and the hardest part is making sure you don't kink any lines or rip any wires. pic just to show ya.

No, the problem is I have a good drive train crappy unibody, so purchasing a new engine is even more self defeating. Can I use anything off the 4G63 on the non-tubo car? Install the tubo and intercooler on the 420A, now I think about it, I highly doubt it. WTF

This sucks. :(

you can make the 420A turbo. but it is advisible that you change out internals to hold up to a turbo. not the best idea to just go throwing the turbo on with no other mods to the motor. but as far as the parts off a 4g63 fittin on a 420A, nope sorry.
