Ok, good for you, you are one of the few making that much power... WOO HOOOMG

Anyways, my point is that not many people make that power. My other point is that to tune an AFC correctly you need something to tell you what is happening in your car, so you know how to adjust the AFC. Anyone who has ever fine tuned something should know that you can't just pull numbers out of the air and have a perfectly tuned car. A pocketlogger helps alot in this. I don't mean you specifically need a datalogger, but meerly meant it as an example of something used for fine tuning.

Since this post is completely off subject now and is just people hating on each other, to answer the question... Yes, you can run 17 psi with all your stuff stock, but it's not super safe. Get the highest octane gas you can and that'll help. Fuel cut is iffy... I ran 17psi on my BIG28 for a week or so with stock fuel stuff and didnt' have any problems with fuel cut, while my friend w/ a t28 ran 16 psi on about the same setup and hit fuel cut all the time. One thing I might add, though, is that my car "felt" stronger at 15psi, and I'm assuming that's because timing was being pulled. Also I always run 93 octane with an octane booster.Try it and find out for youself.

You're car will be running lean and knocking. You will be having detonation in your cylinders and yes, eventually, your motor will blow. 17 PSI isn't unreasonable but a fuel pump is $100-$120 and well worth the safety net. You're getting information from people that have never used a datalogger on the car to see all of their timing getting pulled running stupid amounts of boost: Because their car is knocking.
