can I replace just the ball joints on my 2g

I've got clunking in my suspension when I hit bumps..... the garage says it's front lower rear ball joints and that I have to replace the entire assembly including the arm.

the oem parts are pricey....... is their no alternative or an aftermarket option & can I replace just the ball joints instead of all of it?

There are no after market ball joints that are sold seperately, and you do need to replace the hole arm. I do believe there are a few auto parts stores that carry them though. i have gotten them from O'reillys before

go look for the front knuckle kit for the 2g it includes both ball joints (the lateral and the curved) and also includes a new knuckle. the kit from mittsu by me is only 86.99 plus tax but i get a good deal on it. that also is per side. or u can order it from extreme psi for 119.99 plus shipping and handling.
