ECMlink Can I dsmlink? 4g64dohc na

Quickie .4g64 Spyder with 4g63 head. Shop built head well. Running N.A. Afpr dialed in for base Spyder. Running the 275 high imp stock injectors and stock ECU. I have a turbo ECU from a previous vehicle same year, can I Eprom and DSM link that and run it in the 4g64 dohc ? Everything's running okay but I can hear the same cylinder misfiring when I start to get on it. I want to be able to see more of what's going on and play with timing, putting a camera in the cylinder and also pressure testing it asap.

I'm kind of doing a similar thing right now, putting ecmlink on my 90 laser 2.0 n/t.

The short answer is, yes you should be able to.

You'll have to input the proper injector information, and still do some tuning most likely. I'm not sure if the 4g64 had a knock sensor or the extra MAF wire like 1g n/t's lack, but you may want to check the pinouts on your ECU connectors to see what's there and properly identify the wires, then compare them to a 2g turbo eprom ECU.

My thought is right now you need to invert the CAS signal due to your head swap and the different CAS being used. ECMlink allows you to perform this function to eliminate the misfire.

I'm no expert but this is my understanding as I'm currently doing research on mine. Double check the wiring, and maybe shoot Tom or Dave at ecmtuning an email to ask them. Dave has always been really helpful when I've asked questions.
