Can anyone ID this part?

My clutch pedal has no pressure and this part is covered in brake fluid. Could anyone tell me what it is? its on the bottom of the transmission. thanks for any help.

The master cylinder is on the firewall, by the clutch pedal. The slave cylinder is on the transmission.

Like 92awddsm said, that part is the clutch accumulator (I call it the clutch reservoir). If it is leaking, it's definitely the culprit of your lack of pressure in the hydraulic system. I suggest getting a stainless steal bypass line. Had at RRE for $35 shipped.

I don't know what the hell that thing is, nor what it's supposed to do. Apparently the theory is that it allows for a more gentle clutch engagement, but I thought fluid was essentially non-compressible. More voodoo crap under the hood. Again, where the hell are the people from Mitsubishi, or DSM? We have questions.
