im thinking of trying out the FFWDconnection "DKS" cams the ones that are supposed to mirror the 272/272 combo. If they break in a year then at least ill feel the power of 272's for a year.....
has anyone ACTUALLY tried these cams yet and have anything good/bad to say about them???
thanks a lot
kind of looking into a less expensive full motor rebuild and if it lasts me a year than sobeit!!

Mark is 1 of the few ive ever seen to not like the fp2/101200's. The fact that u had 101200's, which differ from FP2's slightly, and that you didnt take the time to properly degree them doesnt suprise me that youd see more from the HKS 272's. Had you taken time to have them degreed, may be a different story.

Nates shop car went 10.0 @ 148 on 101200's. The head he was running was otherwise stock other than cleaning up the casting. Thats not bad IMO.

Is it possible to run Crower 64414 stage 3 cams on stock valve train in a car that at max will rev to 7.5k maybe 8k tops. Also how good would they work without cam gears anyone with first hand experience welcome.

Yes it would be no problem. Stock springs and retainer are good up 8500 rev sometimes 9000. If your springs and retainer have alot of miles on it . I would recommend getting a new set . That's just my 2cent oj
