OK my mechanic noticed a little bit of rust on the shaft of my fp2 intake cam when looking under the oil cap. We decided to pull the valve cover and take a look and found that there is a little rust on the shaft of the intake cam only and it is not on the lobes (I'm sure this is from the water/meth injection). Anyways while it was off he rubbed his fingers on the lobes and there is some slight (but noticeable to the touch) wear in the 2 lobes on the far right (when facing the motor). You can't see the difference with your eyes but you can barely feel it with your finger.

I'm wondering how those are affecting my car? Does the intake came need to be replaced?

Cant right now I have my daughter at home by myself. I work all day tomorrow and work Sunday also. I will post one earlier next week when I have time between my final exams. Thanks.

OK I took some pictures Monday but didn't have time to add them on here till today:

if you can drag a penny across them and it stops the penny, i wouldn't run them.

OK guys thanks for the reply. I doubt the penny will stop but ill give it a try. Anyone know what would cause that to happen to just those 2 lobes?
