In the picture i have 2 area's highlighted. In the larger highlighted area u can see oil is streaming steadily here. In the smaller highlighted area oil puddles a lil bit on top of the extra rtv that is sticking out the side. Im getting oil all over the timing belt and of course its sprayin everywhere. Ive already lost over 1/2qt of oil and the car hasnt ran more than 30 mins total since i got it put together. This brings me to my question of which seal is bad? The cam seal or the valve cover gasket or both? I used a fel-blo valve cover gasket, has anyone else had problems w/ these gaskets? I also re-used the cam seals that were supposedly replaced less than 2000 miles b4 the original engine blew. I already have new cam seals. Should i just order an OEM valve cover gasket from the dealer or does anyone think its just the cam seal? All help is very much appreciated!!! :talon: :thumb:

I've used a felpro with oil-resistant RTV on both sides of the gasket for extra measure, never had an issue. But if your losing that much oil, it might be a different issue I would think. Anyway, OEM gaskets are cheap enough to try and fix your minor oil leak, I would get it to see if it helps. It's also a good idea to replace the cam seals regularly or if there are unknown amounts of miles on the current ones. Good luck.

oil resistant rtv??? Which stuff is that? Ive used permatex orange and black on both sides of the vc and neither has worked if its the vc leaking. Ive had the valve cover off 3 times.
Hopefully its the cam seal amd i can jus replace those and be done. I wanna drive my damn car, but i cant till it stops losing oil.
