how do you guys pull off the cam gears on a 2g nt? I'm working on a timing belt / water pump and this car has some retarded plastic cover behind the timing belt that needs to come off to get to the water pump. In order to get that off the cam gears need to be pulled it looks like. How do you loosen the center bolt holding the cam gears without turning the cams? On my gsx you can hold the cam with a wrench under the valve cover and loosen the bolt ... but these nt cams don't have the slot to hold them with a wrench so I'm clueless on how to keep them from spinning? Help asap would be appreciated.

Just use an impact gun, it will losen and remove them with barly moving the cams at all.it works well, just hold the cam gears when doing so, that will prevent any movment.
