Here is the IRP schedule for that month. and april. I dont know if I am going to race but I will sure be there. I dont know.. But i will be looking forward to seeing some 12 second slips?

hmmm. me thinks i won't have my new tires or gm maft yet, maybe mid 13's though if all goes alright and i can find some traction left in my old tires.
 
i guess it all depends if you want to have it on the weekend or during the week
 
well i got a full time job and school so it would have to be a sat or sun for me.

well between school and work and saturday being the biggest car selling day i couldn't do much unless it was a late night meet on saturday (i figure about 8pm before i even made it down) or a sunday meeting.
 
:talon: Isn't Indiana great!? we can be from the north or the south and meet in the capitol to drive the same distance...ok, it's not that great because of the snow but we've got corn, right? :rolleyes: anyways. I'm in Noble next to the fort... a meet sounds excellent and would be my first since I just bought my car stock at 70,000 miles last sept. it's not hept up but it would still be cool to go. keep posting on what we decide. I think a cruise, any resturant (hooters), and a car post(park car and lift hoods).
 
haha you're from avilla, send me a pm man, we've got a local club. you ever met a kid named jeff with a black 90 awd?? his parents live there and i grew up in kendallville. what color is your car, i've seen a silver and a white one around avilla before.
 
wow looks like we got a lot of people, lets plan the meet for Saturday and then we can just go to Hooters and go cruising, we did that the one time and it was fun. We should have a good turn out, any other ideas let me know before I set up a date in late March and make another thread.
 
whatever weekend is ok with me, as long as i get some notification in advance. i say we go to some steak house or something. grindstone charley's or something. hooters is good because of the "atmosphere", but their wings upset my stomach every time i get them. :thumbdown

question is, my gsx is not going to be street legal in spring, would i still be able to run in the tuesday night street legals at irp? i am sure they wouldnt know it was against the law at tech, but i may be wrong.

whaddya mean by not street legal? i have no emission and no catalytic converter on mine right now and i drive it all the time. even if its un-insured it doesn't matter since your insurance goes inactive once you drive onto the strip anyways. and if you have a car that's faster than 11.5 and no cage you should at least get 1 run in before they say something.
 
Ill come for sure... I will bring along 3-5 other DSMers... let me know when and where.... im thinking this should be annual??

not really, they just check for a battery tie down, and that all the lug nuts are on and maybe a few questions about the car
 
Looks like the meet is going well!!! As long as all the "charter members" show up it's all good!! and hopefully there are ALOT of new faces there to meet... if my car is in good shape i may make a mid 15 pass for u guys. (not too shabby for a n/t)

i ran at 3 different tracks and never had a tie down until this fall when i finally heli-coiled that damned hole on the shock tower.

haha, i know that irp tech's check for the battery tie down, i've been there a couple times with my old car

Sweeeeeeet!! I get to attend my first DSM meet!!! If you guys get this thing figured out, and my P.O.S. is finally on the road, I'd love to meet ya'll.

[Sit's down at desk and offers up a prayer] 'Oh lordy, I may not be worthy, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me get this thing running by March!!'

Since I live here, shouldn't be a problem for me to make it if it's running.

Anybody have thoughts on which Sat, and a time yet? I'm sure I can get a few Indystars members to show.

Holy crap, someone from Avilla.....with a DSM!? HahaI grew up there, thats kind of weird considering Avilla is about the size of the coliseum in Ft Wayne :laugh:
