Caliper Question

Are the calipers for the "big brake" kit, (the first one on the page) the same as the stock calipers on a 99 gsx.

ok, nice. Another question. While changing my brakes I could not get the top bolt out of the mounting braket and ended up snapping it in half, the other half stuck in the mounting braket.
Then I noticed the guide pin was the one stuck in the top and the locking pin i got out of the bottom. But in my haynes manual it says on the front brakes the locking pin is supposed to be on top on the guide pin is supposed to be on bottom. could this be why the bolt was so hard to get out.

could very well be, if they were installed incorrectly. Remove both pins and get some new ones from the dealer or somewhere, then jus match em up with the old ones to see if they were in the wrong place or not. And remember to put them back in the way your haynes manual says they go...
