I went to the track yesterday for the first time...dont laugh but my best time was a 13.9 @ 99.84mph. Pretty shitty for the mods I have. Although I am not blaming the car one bit...she did great. The driver (me OMG ) just choked. My best 60' time was a freaggin 2.04 with a worst of 2.2...that is FWD territory!! My reaction time sucked, and my times were really all in the mid 14 sec time except for this freak 13.9 run. Either way, I now know I need to replace my clutch, and launch higher than 4000-4500rpm.

I just need to know if it is harmful to run race fuel pretty much all the time? I have about 1-1/2 gallons of C16 race fuel in there now. I dont have any cats and am using the denso O2 sensor which I've read does not foul when using race fuel. Is it bad to keep this gas in the tank for too long? With my set up and stock injectors and FPR, I was able to keep my knock down to virtually zero all thru 3rd, 4rth and 5th at 18-19psi up to 135mph. According to my logger my timing was at 19-21 adv which leads me to believe I could have upped the boost a little more. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

With no cat on the car you will be fine running that gas until it is gone. I would turn upthe boost if I wasnt getting any knock and see what happens. When you get your 60ft times down you times will improve a great deal. I was cutting 2.0 and couldnt get past 14.5 for two passes. I launched at about 5500 and I got a low 1.8 and went 13.8. 60ft is critical with our cars.

Thanks....I was actually wondering if I can run race fuel from now on and forget about pump. The car feels much more responsive and seemed to run cooler and more efficiently with the race gas.

So by cutting 2 tenths of your 60' you gained 7 tenths of total et time. I wonder what I can do since I ran a 2.0588 60' with a 13.9 et? Thanks for the reply

That will get real expensive quick, but if you have the cash go for it. I know that if you run it on occasion O2's will be ok but on a permanent basis they will need to be rplaced more often.

I didnt notice that I put 14.5 it should have been 14.2 sorry. Some people will say that for evey tenth picked up at the 60ft you get two on the big end, but that depends on alot of things. Once you get your launches down then it is just a matter of nailing your shift and making then smooth and consistent. Good luck.
