I have a 97 GST.... all stock minus a Weapon R cone-shape performance air filter...or in other words all stock! Anyway, I am going to buy a Injen short ram intake. They have one for cars with stock BOV's and ones with aftermarket BOV's. I have a stock BOV so I would, obviously, purchase the one for stock BOV's. My fear is that I am going to buy the intake for stock BOV's and find out I want to replace my stock BOV for an aftermarket one. With that in mind, I want to replace my BOV before I buy this intake.

My Questions.....

Should I replace my stock BOV? I think I should.

My most important question! ---> If yes, than what is the best replacement BOV for 2G's?

Also should note that after the new intake, I am going to buy a Greddy boost controller and upping the boost, so please keep that in mind when suggesting a new BOV for me!

Yep, I won an auction for an I/C pipe that doesn't fit the BOV i want. (insert Napoleon Dynamit voice) FRIGGIN' IDIOT!

Ya, so I didn't read your post carefully, and was kind of in a rush because the auction was ending. Sooooooooo...... I won the item, but I haven't paid for it--Luckily. I am going to email the seller and explain my mistake and see what happens. Now I could just buy an adapter for the BOV for like $20, but I would like to get the upper and maybe lower I/C pipes instead. Does anybody know of a place where I can get a good deal on an upper I/C pipe flanged for a Greddy BOV?

Thanks again for all the help fellas. I just gotta slow down and get this right.

Click here, you need the upper "L" pipe, upper "S" pipe and the lower "S" pipe. You can choose the blow off valve flange that you want/ you can buy the bov/ and also choose what color you want your piping to be powder coated. This is what i have on my car. Check the classifieds on dsmtuners as well. :thumb: :talon:

I have been looking the Dejon link over. I have a couple more questions. That three piece set that you have looks good, a little pricey for me though. But none the less, very nice.

Do have any trouble with the "trimming" of the clutch line? They mention it is neccessary.

The set can be purchased with an end for stock side mount intercoolers or with a larger end for aftermarket intercoolers. Which did you get? If I get a bigger intercooler, will I be able to replace the end connector for the larger intercooler?

It mentions very little space is available for your air filter. Would a Injen intake & air filter fit? What kind of intake and filter do you have? Any trouble there?

In the picture of the 3 piece kit installed on a 2G with a Greddy BOV, there is no recirculation shown. It is just venting to the atmosphere. That ain't cool! Is your's recirculating?

You can just buy the pipes separate. But they are a little different. When they show a picture of all the individual pieces installed, the I/C pipes run under the fuse box... A different route than the 3 piece set takes.

Is it possible for me to just purchase the "L" pipe; the pipe with the flange. Would I be able to connect it with my retained stock I/C pipes? I think this is what I would prefer to do. I get an upgrade on an I/C pipe with the proper flange for a Greddy BOV and can gradually upgraded the rest of them as I aquire the funds.

Thanks again, Andrew

Yo man, this is what you need. I think you are referring to the blow thew setup. STAY AWAY FROM THE BLOW THREW SETUP. You don't exactly have to go through Greddy or Dejon Tool to get your pipes there are other companies out there. And also you don't have to trim anything. At least I didn't. Look at your piping on your car now, its just a direct replacement of those. :thumb: :talon:
