Im buying cams for my 99gst and i have decided on the delta cams because of the good reviews ive heard about them. My ? is which cams should i buy? Right now i plan on reving to around 85-9000. Thats if my valvetrain can handles those high of revs. I have manleys and ti retainers with 1mm over ss intake and exhaust valves. Im stilll undecided on my turbo, i want to run my h1e with a twin scroll setup. It just needs a new compressor wheel and a rebuild. Should i go with the k272 or run the hks regrind 272? I know the k series or better for the higher rpm range and tend to lose spool on bigger turbos. That really doesnt bother me bc im keeping the front wheel drive. I want o order these today so any input is greatly appriciated. Also, ive juggled the idea of using BC280's as well....

If your really gonna be revving that high and wanna move your powerband more to the right I would get the k272. I'm getting the SIM 275 I don't wanna lose to much down low on my 20g and I plan on revving high in the 8000rpms

The only thing that worrys me about my whole build is 1. I wish i would of went with arp main suds...damnit LOL....and 2. I have put everything together LOL...No really i wann do something different and keep the front wheel drive platform. So my revs will be up their. Im just worried about my valve train really. If i could find a article or a forum where someone has really tested the limits of these manleys, and they recieved got feedback, than i might feel a little better...But all in all my valvetrain is pretty light. And to be honest i was leaning towars the k272's anyway

I'm usin the hks 272 grind with my HX40 rein to 8500 with Manley springs and it's wiring great. The kelfords will be more but they have a higher lift and ramp rate which would me mor elime a 280 cam or higher.

Thanks for the feed back. I just dont want the powerband to come on to early. I know im going to be fighting traction problems from the go so anything to help with this would be awesome. You said your using the hx-40 which is the same as a h1e. How much boost are you running and when do you see full boost with he hks272? I know people say these turbos spool up decent and seeing as how you have basically what i have i was wondering if this combination is working good for you? Also what mani are you running? Bep housing or stock holset? Thanks for the help its really helping me decide what tyo do

I'm running 25psi and I usually see it around 4500. Proper oil will affect spool rate and so will your tune. I'm also on the BEP bolt on housing. If you use the stock twin scroll setup you should see faster spool times but the setup will cost more.

I'm happy with what I have but you may not be. Do some reading on the cams and how they shift the power and what you'll loose with each and base your decision off of that.
