I'm looking for information on buying an Eclipse it will be a project car and I wanna find a stock one. I'm looking at what I believe is the 95 to 97 or something bodystyle the more smooth body style not the newest one out but the one before that. (the body style of the neon green one in the first fast and the furious movie) So I was wondering if yall have any tips on what to look for.

Don't care what color it is, I want a FWD not AWD, I'm just basically asking is there anything that I should look for when buying one that I should stay away from or any tips or any good things I should look for.

Thanks if yall can help

if you do decide to go with a Honda make sure its a CRX or a Civic hatch. :thumb: :dsm:

i heard a spoiler on those cars adds like 10 hp. Nothing like un-needed downforce on a FWD car.

first off if your willing to give up on finding a DSM this quick anyways you probably dont have the patience to own one. but hondas arent bad...although we make them look like go-karts theyre still cool right?? nothin like that 1.6 sohc weak-tec engine love. honda ppl are really easy to get along with cuz they have that attitude like "im not very fast but i look fast and thats not okay but i make it sound okay." kinda thing.. yeah honda's are great first mod is the altezza lights...gotta chrome it out ya know. slap on some stickers. see the difference between us and them is we put on turbos to put like 30% horsepower to our car and they put on spoilers to burn about 30% more rice. but have fun with whatever you do.

with love,
sean :talon:

LOL those that have problems with tearing loose shifting into 4th should try mounting their wing on the hood instead.

An elipse. Actually, it's an "ellipse", but I couldn't see giving you a bad time for a dumb spelling mistake.

Why are all these guys trying to sell you a car if you just want an oval shape?

Sometimes, Defiant, you go way too far. As a parent, I know what the guy who started this thread is going through and I don't appreciate it, either.

You owe this guy a huge apology. Better yet, you should make it up to him by sending a very nice gift for the baby.

After all, if you knew anything about elipse or had spent any time in Britain, you'd know that his wife or GF is pregnant.
