Buying an engine

Hey guys,

Can you give me some websites, such as, JDM Engine Zone but cheaper or anything that sells eclipse gsx motor, if possible with 6 bolt already.

I found a site months ago even before I got my car, this website are selling rebuilt engine for mad cheap like $500, thing is... I forgot the website name =/

I've been checking this forum out since 5 months ago so I'm not totally new here on this forum. Btw, I'm Phil, I hope you all will treat me nice as I am a newbie to DSM and basically mechanic stuffs.

Rebuilding isn't cheap. I did a few engines, and I'd say no matter what. From pulling the engine, to purchasing specialty tools, and finally driving it back out of the garage. It's going to cost 1,000 if things go well. I've had things go poorly and turned that into 2,000 real quick.

I'd say your options are 1,000 for an assembled long block OR 1,000 for a fully rebuilt engine that is fresh and reliable.

If the long blocks we're only 2-300. I'd say risk it, you'd have the engine you pulled which you could begin building to handle even more power to replace the cheap replacement.
