buying an eclipse

ok im going to buy a eclipse and i want a gsx but might not be able to afford it and i want hp like most people do. so what i want to know is can a n/t get just as much hp as a gsx or gst with a stage 1 turbo?

Yes....The difference between the Stage 1 & Stage 2 is one has an intercooler; the other dosen't.

My own personal belif, i wouldn't turbocharge my car w/out an intercooler of some sort to keep temp's down.

i think i would run a turbo with out an intercooler if i was running lower boost. hell that RONNIE guy is running 10 psi non intercooled on stock internals. hes got a sack.

the difference in the 2 cars isnt whether you could make as much power as them, but its after you make as much power as a stock gs-t or x. they can mod and go higher, while we are reaching the limits of our internals and will have to rebuild. but, if your area is like me and the prices are rediculously different between a GS and a GS-T, then it might be a better investment to buy a GS and work with that.

Let us not forget AWD > FWD.

So depending on how high in HP you plan on going traction will become an issue much sooner in a turboed GS than a GSX.
