With a rather anemic availability of these cars recently, there is a guy who is selling a 93 1gb Talon in my area. He advises that coolant is spraying out of Cylinder #1 if he puts compressed air in.

He is selling it to me for $800, so I was hoping that as a worst case scenario I can just swap out the head and be done with it.

However, I am kind of concerned that this might be a warped block. I did some searching around and there isn't a whole lot of information on what it could be but I'd say that a fair amount seemed to imply the possibility of a warped block.

I'd like to know what my odds are before buying this vehicle.

Thanks

Thanks people. I talked him down from 2k. Things are a little more expensive here than most places.

What is the average price of a shell these days?
