Buying a chip worth it?

Im thinkin bout buyin this chip for my 98 GS.. its all stock except aftermarket intake.

Id like some feedback, will i really notice a hp increase

This seems like a bad idea to me man because the kit appears to intercept the factory 02 sensor readings and modify them. Messing with the factory 02 sensor readings would be a bad idea imo because the chip does not know what aftermarket parts you do or don't have and it doesn't have any way of knowing what car it is on... I would stay away from 'chip' tuning and move more towards good old hardware upgrades like your exhaust and things like that... But I am also a 2g turbo guy so I could be wrong, but Im sure some will back me up on my feelings towards the chip... best of luck!

Agree!! I wouldn't try that as the stock o2s only see things in a small window so I think its risky...besides you can get a Apexi safc cheaper than that thing..I would get bolt ons first then once you have all bolt ons then go with something simple cheaper like an SAFC n get a tune ....Although im a turbo guy also

Basically what i have are the headers to exhaust 2.5 inch pipes.and CAI..havent really noticed much difference.the 5 to 6 hp that the upgrades gave me,you dont really feel in the drivers seat.Your gonna have to mess with the engine internals.

That "chip" is just a way to scam you out of $300 and possibly mess with your engine.

For $300 you can easily get a good 10-20hp added on the right way. Hell, just your free mods will give more ponies than that thing. . I would suggest nitrous before suggesting that chip.

Replace your intake pipe and filter, you can even go for bigger injectors and a pump since you're running N/T.
