ok well my bud has a old saturn and the trans is goin bad so his dad said he can get a new used car. and his friends ex gf is selling her 1992 Taylon TSI FWD, Automatic, 130K miles on it…the only thing that im aware of is the crack in the exhaust pipe near the manifold. infront of the drivers door. the body is crunched in, on the passengers side the siding is popping off. how much do u think he should offer to her ... something reasonable tho... we are car ppl like no other so fixing is a cinch. he knew there was body work and hes done that stuff on his kit car shelby cobra. so we will fix body and paint it too. jsut wondering what he should offer with the miles and stuff on it. sorry i know there is many how much and should i get threads.thanks

mmk thanks for your input... anyone elses.. also what should i look for when we go check it out teusday .... and is there any sites with like body panels and stuff that are used for sale for the 1gs? thanks

to be completely honest with you, i would hold out for a 5 speed. even a FWD 5 speed would be more fun to drive. dont get me wrong, awd is awesome, but i think your friend would enjoy the drive better if it was manual.

as for a price, depending on the size of the dent on the body and the running condition it would really vary. if it ran really well i would say up to 1500. if the damage is bad (more than 3 or 4 inches across) its definetly gonna take a big chunk off the price.

ok thanks scott this is ryan ( aka fenderstrat) so yea we are goin teusday to check ... hes not much of a racer but im sure he will mod a little so i think auto is prob fine for him .. but whatever if he wants he could prob do a manual trany swap. but thanks man.
