Busted U-joint

I have a busted u-joint in my car. While I was replacing it I decided to replace them all. I'm wanting to know is there any other items i can replace to help this from happening again. Are there performance carrier bearings out there? What else would help. Thanks for the info.

I also ordered some aluminum carrier bearing washers, the ones that bolt the carrier to the body, I read somewhere that those will help from additional flex.

Just make sure you put the u-joints back together properly. You don't have the car lowered a lot do you? Because that can mess with axle angles and stress out u-joints.

Not sure what car(s) you're working on, but the rear end and tranfer case are fixed on AWD DSM's as our cars have independant rear suspension. Any movement in the driveline which occurs from lowering the chassis would be absorbed by the C/V axles.

you can try filling the carriers with silicone. There are some write ups floating around this site.
