Bushcur Racing exhaust question

hey, i just finished my rebuild so now im ready to upgrade the exhaust on the talon. i was planning on going with a 3" turbo back system from Buschur because of the weight, but i was wondering if anyone has had problems with leaks because of the slip fit?

Slip fit ? When I bought my catback it was flanged. You may want to call them.

i know its a slip fit i asked them and got a price on the system.

Mine wasn't slip fit either.

just wondering, why do you care? other than the one slip fit before the cat, (that is if your even going to use a cat) the amount it will leak is so insignificant, it doesn't even matter. I have dejon's slip fit exhaust and it was leaking for like 500 miles, and I tightened it down a LOT and noticed no differenece whatsoever. With those mufflers its not like its going to quiet it down significantly or anything.

Mine does not leak at all. I am using Buschur's exhaust clamps also.

I have the 3" for my 2g. If you buy just the catback its not slip fit because you need a flange for it to bolt up to the stock cat. I use the slip fit without clamps for two reasons. Its a thousand times easier to remove the pipes if you don't clamp them down and the amount of exhaust leaking is so minimal, like tstkl else said, you will not even notice a difference.

Hey tstkl, How do you know your dejon is leakin man?

I was running rich, and lets say.... a rich mixture leads to black ashes everywhere, .... the reason why the clamp came off is because one of the ends was pointing down and it hit a speed bump pretty badly, I had a hard time getting it off, bending it back the way it was, and getting it back on. Just make sure your clamps point up and are on really tight, so the vibrations don't rotate them....

Ah, got it. My clamps are good. I check it out under there once in a while, and i've got the black soot going on too. But my build up is from burning oil.
