I purchased my Talon TSi completely stock but it had a "miss". After a lot of time and work to get it fixed myself with the "easy stuff", I had it taken into the shop because none of that fixed the problem. It turns out that it had a burnt valve so I got that fixed. It took about a week and the miss was gone, which was great, but now my car has makes a buzzing/rattling noise at about 2,400 - 2,600 rpms. Does anybody have any idea about what this could be, sorry about the problem being so vague about a "noise" but it bugs the heck out of me. Thanks

does it also have a noticeable vibration starting between those rpm's? if so the person you fixed your valve probably put the balance shaft 180* out. might want to check that out

Thanks for the info. about the balance shaft that may be off. The only poblem is that when I got my car worked on, it was about 3-4 weeks ago, so the chances that the shop will take the car and fix it for free (since they were the ones that didn't put it back together correctly) is slim to none, because I have been driving around for a while already. I should've done something sooner about getting that looked but.. that's what i get for being lazy. My only question now is that, would looking at the balance shaft or determing if it is off and fixing it be something I could do at home, or is it as complicated as it sounds. Thanks again.

A little intimidating at first but quite a lot of the people here have successfully done the job themselves.
