So this week I have been noticing I have been burning quite a bit of oil at a complete stop white smoke is just pouring out the hood. today I checked some stuff oil outlet is good not kinked intercooler tubing is good and also did a compression test which didn't seem to good all of them seem to read around 120 so any ideas of what could be causing burning oil ?? head gasket, rings, valve seals ????? :banghead:

white smoke from under the hood isn't oil my friend, oil burns a bluish color smoke. sounds like a coolant leak. I had that problem ended up being my water pump going bad and spilling coolant on my exhaust which caused the smoke.

Its not coolant it is a bluish smoke just forgot to put the blue part in there sorry man i went over all the cooling stuff and it seems good

And the bluish white smoke comes out the exhaust also just throwin that in there

How's the turbo? Could be seals.. also, do you have a catch can of any kind?

Just take off your intake and inspect for shaft play and visually check to make sure that the compressor wheel hasn't contacted the turbine housing. Also look at the turbo inlet, a puddle of oil on it can point to your turbo being bad.

If you pull either you turbo or you exhaust manifold and check for oil in the runners before the turbo its an easy and quick way to tell if its the turbo or engine internals. Also whe you do the compression test make sure to remove all spark plugs to get an accurate reading. Just saying.. Your compresssion test have me leaning towards the engine.

If there is a small puddle of oil it could be or not, you said you don't have a catch can so the oil could be blow by from the valve cover line to the intake causing it to settle down on the inside of the comp cover.

Ok so got the intake off a sure enough theres a puddle of oil sitting right there. Also went over the turbo and there is quite a bit of shaft play so. New turbo ??? I could get my hands on a brand new evo8 turbo pretty cheap !!! Opinions
