Toronto,
Soon my 4g63T will be done at the machine shop with new pistons, cams, duel valve springs and a few more stuff.
I will also be having my DSMLINK hooked up as well once the motor goes in.

My machine shop tells me to drive a few K's on the highway with the rpm's up and down to work in the motor.

What I would like to know from other people who has had a built motor is...

Should I take it on the highway to work in the pistons rings (non tuned) or should I run it hard to ture with the DSMLINK? (motor not worked in)

So drive non-tuned or drive motor non-worked in???

I'd say hook a logger up and make sure your timing is good when you do the break-in pulls, and from then on you can make fuel trim adjustments while you are driving no problem.

From what I have been told you are supposed to take it easy for a certain amount of miles I think it is a hundred.

with me,im gonna rev it up and down for about 20 minutes since piston rings seat almost immediatly.but id listen to the shop since they built it,and if there was a problem,it would be on them.
