I went back to a stock turbo on my 97talon tsi, from a td05 turbo. Now I have compressor surge and a hard violent bucking in any gear on/off throttle. Does it more so when I get into boost and let off slowly.
Any help would help new to dsms

That is a typical 14b, maybe 13b - I can't see the stamped number on the cover. If you can clean the part that says - 19178-0xx0, that will tell you more. This is not the stock turbo for this car, and you probably have after market inter-cooler pipes - especially if you have a BOV that is adjustable. Stock BOV is not adjustable (and plastic)

I just made my own bung on the intercooler piping, I tried and tried to look on the turbo and can’t find any. It seems to of fixed the bucking! Now another problem I tried to fix, the car takes forever to start when it’s cold not the weather just the car in general, but if it was recently ran it starts up just fine

Sounds like fuel supply check valve issue. Fuel may be draining from the fuel rail back to the tank, making it take longer to prime when cranking.

Fuel pump is possibly leaking at the o-ring/upper cap. This will allow the entire fuel line to drain back into the tank.
Take a look at the Walbro vfaq here, almost all the way down the page (3rd description from the bottom): http://www.vfaq.com/mods/pump-WB-2GFWD.html
