Broken Rear End?

Sounds like a differential issue. Where there any sounds leading up to the lock up?

jack the car up on 4 jack stands and un hook the drive shaft. turn the rear tires. if they dont move its the rear diff. if they do inspect the transfer case

Also another quick question... did both wheels lock up?

it might actually be the LSD. gsx's in 95 came with lsd. if the lsd were to lock up that would definitely lead to the rear wheels locking up, however im not completely sure so dont quote me

I would take off the inspection plate on the rear diff to see if there is a chunk of a tooth sitting on the bottom. You could also drain the fluid in both and see if anthing comes out of either one. If nothing comes out of either, then your down to opening them up and seeing what is going on.

this.

try to isolate the problem by actually getting the car up on stands and seeing which wheels turn with and without the driveshaft connected, which way the wheels turn, etc.
