Just looking for some thoughts on what to check out. When I go WOT in 1st gear it starts to miss/pop. It only does this is 1st gear. All other gears the car flys. I put another set of BPR7ES' in it, new wires and checked for boost leaks again. I am going go in the garage now and try on another coil pack that I have sitting in the garage. Throw me some ideas:thumb:

That's why. It's raping your timing and pulling it back. Something is causing the ECU to retard the timing, which makes the car react bad... it's gonna pull all your power and make it drive like crap...

Check to see if it's real knock... ( pour in some 110 leaded ) and do a pull. if it still does it, it's phantom knock, and you'll have to figure out what's wrong. if it's gone, it's real knock and you need to tune. Or frankly, turn the boost down.

Its weird because the most knock I have in any gear is 3. And 1st gear is like hitting dead sports all over:confused: Anyone else have any ideas?

thanks,
mike

Like I said. Check to see if it's phantom or not. My guess with the "3" in each other gear, you are truly getting knock and it's detrimental to your motor...

Put in some leaded and see if it goes away. If it does, you need to back down the boost and tune....

Keep your knock at 0. Better than 3.

3" Intake pipe,Ported EVO III,o2 Dump,Ported 2g Mani,3" Exhaust, BPR7es Gapped @.028, Wires, JRC FMIC, Extreme UICP and TB Elbow, Big Bore TB, FIC 650's,190 pump,ReWire,SAFC,Logger and some gauges. Thats about it that would make a difference. I will post a log once I get home from work.

Thanks,
Mike

Bill Gates decided my time was up with my trial of EXCEL so I am typing this by hand:mad: Is there any other way to get a log up? Or is EXCEL the only way? Well here goes nothing:coy:

Im just noticing this now. When im not getting any of that knock until im @6k RPMS+ Yet the sputtering/missing happens from about 2500-.

I will just post the part where I have knock which starts @6k.

6k - 11 counts
6100- 23 counts
6800-22 counts

Damn excel wont even show me my timing:spam:

Let me know if there is another way to get a log on my comp that way I can post the complete log:|

Maybe this will help a bit:nono:

I still have no idea? Timing is @ 5*. What else to look for? Id like to get to the dyno this coming month.

I put on another MAF after work and at 1st it idled like shit and then it was fine. As far as 1st gear with the new sensor it is still doing it! IM LOST

Somone please tell me an alternate to posting a log than excel. I need to get this cleared up. I toyed around with it all this evening and I still have no results. Would someone who knows what their talking about please chime in:thumb:

I gave that a thought. But I shouldn't have any problems with the 190 over running the stock FPR. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.

Hi, I'm new here. There is a free office suite called OpenOffice that will open .xls (Excel) files. It can be downloaded from download.openoffice.org. Hope this helps.
