I just replaced my 02 sensor two days ago with one from autozone. While driving today i threw a cel and it is my 02 sensor. How could this be? My A/F guage hasn't worked since i put it in...it was DOA. So i disconnected it and tapped off the end of the lead. It isn't touching any metal to ground out. Am pretty sure everything is ok at the ecu where i tapped it....will check that tomorrow. Any other ideas of why it would go in such a short period of time?

My AutoZone O2 never worked for me. I bought an OEM one and was fine from there.

I would suspect the wiring between for the O2 sensor.

Check it out for any breaks - make sure that the ground strap on the exhaust is mounted correctly.

What ground strap are you refering to? I don't recall seeing one. Point me in the right direction.

I'll check the service manuals and get you a pic when I get a chance.

Is the ground strap necasarry? I never replaced mine when I put the n1 on
