Brake System Part Identification Help

Really dumb question here. As I was tearing apart my 95 Talon TSi i stumbled across a silver box behind the driver's side head light. All of the brake lines go into this box. I was wondering what it is and what it is used for. Thanks.

ABS pump....it's used to help drivers who don't understand proper braking procedures to keep from running into things in the event of a slide.

Personally, I hate ABS on vehicles. With me it's caused many more near-accidents than it's prevented.

It is the brake modulator hydraulic unit for the ABS system in such equipped vehicles.
