Brake booster

Doesnt the stock 1g brake booster have a check valve built in? Or is the only check valve in the brake boostet hose?

Mineis now missing and the auto parts stores dont sell a brake booster hose specifically for my car. Which leads me to believe I can use just any check valve I want if it is necessary to have it?

OEM would be best, but this one from US Plastics will also work in a pinch. I've run this in my brake booster hose for 2-3 years now with no issues. YMMV.

Yeah it's in the line. You could just use one of these. 3/8" Kynar® Standard Check Valves | U.S. Plastic Corp.

They are cheap and extremely well made. You might as well get two though and use one in the brake booster line and use the other in the pcv line.

Glad I havent been driving my car without it as the dude at the parts store said it wasnt necessary and that the brake booster has one built in. Figured it needed it. Maybe non turbo cars dont have them?

Okay so if I could find a similar one at lowes, home depot or mccoys I could use that also until I get an oem one?

So when installing the check valve, I want the side that I can not blow through facing the intake manifold correct? Basically keeping turbo boost from getting to the brake booster?

I know this is correct, just me being paranoid. For some reason I think brakes are a big deal!
