Sean, you are full of it. No way are you running that much boost on pump gas, unless you are also injecting something else to cut detonation. And removing honeycombs from your MAF doesnt count as careful tuning :p

I run 1.7 bar on 91 octane, stock block, a matter of careful tuning;)

The wheel used in this turbo is definately a bad boy. I spent some time looking over the map, and did a bit of research on it, and I am at this point about 75% sure this is the turbo I am going to run (full Garrett version that is, not the BR580). From an efficiency standpoint, all I can say is WOW. This turbo has the potential to make HUGE pumpgas power with the proper intercooler and tuning. From a power standpoint, look out 60-1. This turbo definately has the potential to outflow the 60-1, can run higher boost much more efficiently, and will spool quite a bit quicker to boot. I was able to find a dyno sheet of a Toyota MR2 with this turbo on it, and it managed 630 Wheel HP without nitrous. (Yes of course built motor, yada yada but that should be a given at this level.) Just for number crunching, the 56 trim has a 61.9mm inducer. Definately seems like an E-ticket ride...hopefully I'll be able to let you all know soon. ;)

Regards,

How do you know what wheel is used in the BR580? Is it the new GT series 56trim for sure?

Sorry, I haven't been on here in a while. This turbo is everthing they promised. We haven't had it on the dyno yet so I can't back up the HP numbers. Like I stated before, this isn't the best street turbo. I'm still waiting on my 50 trim version from Slow Boy for my street car so I can't compare the two yet. Any ?'s, feel free to IM or email me.
