BOV sound on an automatic gsx???

I have an automatic gsx, everytime it shifts i here a little something (very little, soo quiet) i was just wondering if say i had a greddy bov (w/ of course gm mas and translator) would i hear any of the bov when it shifts. remeber its automatic, the shifts are very quick, im just curious to know. thanks guys.

I have an automatic tsi. Whenever i had my stock bov on the only time I heard it blowoff at all is whenever i was at least at 4500 rpm and just let go of the gas completely. I put the greddy type rs on and vented for a week and it was beautiful. The sound was so loud i scared children and there parents who were walking by with them. However i put the recirc kit on and now the sound is basically stock again. It is definitely louder than stock but its not even close to as loud as it was venting.
o ya . If you get the greddy bov and get a maft and mas you can vent and not run crappy. So you will have that sweet venting sound all the time.

So when u ran it vented could you hear it when the car shifted or just when you let off the gas? thanks alot

I haven't personally heard the Type-RS. I have a HKS Standard on mine, sounds sweet but it isn't very loud. I'm going to get a HKS SSQ, my friend has one on his Stealth RT and it sounds awesome!

i have an automatic and just for the fun of it ill vent my BOV occasionally. But i have never heard it blow off between shifts, it just doesnt do it. The bov only opens when the throttle plate closes and if your throttle closes between shifts with an automatic then there is something wrong

Yeah, you shouldnt be hearing your BOV in an auto if your still on the gas completely. I think you're just hearing things

what are you talking about.. Who would do such a thing. Yes im guilty of that too.. But the venting sound is just so beautiful. WHooooooosh

Automatic will not blow off between shifts. Automatic will have no ill effects from venting to the atmosphere because when it does blow off you are off the gas anyways so dumping a little extra fuel will not matter. Letting off the gas to let it blow off when it shifts can be very bad on your transmission if you just let off to shift and blow off and then give it a little gas again especially.
