The other day when driving my eclipse I noticed the bov making a sound like a bird noise...i havent noticed any perfomance issues yet and it is the stock 1G BOV ...anyone know what it could be?? Also had car go to emissions and fail in HC's any body have any ideas for it to pass without doing some major work??? thanks

P.S. the HC's on emissions were reading 5.9 and it needs to be .800

Brought my 98 GSX for emissions and failed the HC's as well...

Changed all the vaccuum lines and front O2 sensor
Also put a recirc kit on my BOV (I have the HKS SSQV)

I needed .70 and read 6.9
After the changes I got a .57 reading

Hope this helps you out...

Thanks for the replies ill give it a try with my vacuum lines and yes i do have a cat on it and i changed my O2 sensors because they werent working so that dropped my HC's down a little bit but this vacuum thing might do it. Thanks Again
