Has anyone noticed the tube in the stock intake? There is a little plastic tube that goes into the intake from the BOV dump tube. It's about 4" long & 1/4" wide. What the heck is the deal with that thing?
It points back toward the MAF sensor, & it looks like it’s obstructing the airflow to the turbo pretty good.

Anyway, I'm asking this because I just got one of those Bomz Racing intakes (off ebay) and it doesnt have one of them. Does anyone know what it's for?

Most people cut those off there stock intakes because it restricts air flow like you said.

Wow, I haven't heard anyone ask about that for a long time with a straight face. :p

It is one of the OG free mods to remove that tube.

i know what tube you're talking about, and it's quite lame. Just pull it out, cut it off so it's shorter and it isn't restricting air flow and then put it back in

It was in there so it was more "little b*tch friendly" and not so noisy for the folks that just dont like hearing that wonderful BOV. But its not needed at all. Most people that stick with the stock intake cut it out.
