Not really a tuning question and tried to search for answers - but

Im trying to understand the relationship of BOV to MBC - from what i know the BOV is adjusted to hold pressure until you release the peddle to avoid shock waves to the turbo. also, set to low and it will release pressure to soon. So when setting the MBC higher shouldnt the BOV be readjusted? And how does this work when using a stock crushed 1G BOV? Hopefully Im making sense

Basically the blow off valve can only hold so much pressure before the spring inside actually releases some of the boost. If under that spring limit the BOV will not open until vacuum is supplied to it. The point of this is to not all pressure to stay in the intake during shifts and or deceleration.

A boost controller whether it is manual or electric controls the wastegate. It only allows so much pressure to build up before it starts to open the wastegate constantly changing after that to control the boost.

Hope this helps a little

Maybe that was the little thing I was missing is that the BOV opens based on vacuum and not boost pressure - if this is so then what is the point of having it adjustable as long as it will hold your max boost it will just open when it senses vacuum?

Your BOV opens based on boost and vacuum, not just vacuum.

When the difference between the manifold pressure and the pre-throttle body pressure is greater than the pressure of the spring the BOV will open.

I am horrible with words, but I can try to explain it better if you want.
