hey everyone, i recently bought my first turbo'd car and my first eclipse. its a 1995 gst. its stock everything except for the wastegate off of an evo8 and the cosmetic headgasket and racing headstuds, its pushing 15psi. what kind of horsepower am i looking at right now? and which engine do i have? 4g63, 6 bolt or 7 bolt? i read the page on how to check via oil pan, but i dont get it LOL.

Early DSM's had 6 bolts (89-92). You have a 7 bolt. Dont ask "how much HP" on this website, its considered bench racing and not allowed. If you want to know go to the dyno. But on a stock 2g with 3 extra psi you are looking at 10-20hp over a stock car.

sorry for the "bench racing" that sucks i was hoping it was the 6 bolt because i fear for the whole crankwalking issue ive heard of so much, many people said i'd want a 6 bolt so i dont have that issue.

Crankwalk is overrated, i pushed my stock block with 120xxx miles up to 28-30psi without getting crankwalk...

To me its all about maintenance and how well you keep up with it... and a good tune..

But thats a completely different topic that has been covered plenty ;)

how common is it on my car? and thanks i will do a search for all that other mod stuff, i have 15psi and had to upgrade the headgasket and studs yesterday, hopefully thats all i have to do for now.

I would say you have a 10% chance or less to get crankwalk. Also if you have 80,000+ miles it would have most likely already walked so you should be fine.

As stated above, crankwalk is overrated... Keep up to par with maintenance and you will be just fine.
