With just a bottom end full build + head build and no turbo - how much power can i get out of my 1998 RS engine block?
200? 300?

And if you guys think it makes any difference - I am looking at a engine bottom end for sale that has fully forged internals, all new.
Same goes for rebuilt head.
I just want to know that if i buy these two things, that the car will be able to put out some good HP without having to add a turbo setup...
Would that work?
Honestly, and this comes from experience because I just did a 420a build and it can become a nightmare. But since you have forged internals, naturally you can reach 300HP without a problem provided whoever built the bottom end knows what they're doing. Now in my case, I have a 99 Eclipse GS that I converted and it's a beast without reaching 300HP. I'm safely pushing about 260 to the wheels and have forged internals and bored to .020. So it's possible for sure, just be careful though, these motors weren't really built to handle high abuse like the 4g63 was and I also have FMU, AEM wideband, SAFC II, and on and on. I'm pushing about 12lbs of boost at the moment and it's a rocket. So again, be careful, have fun but do your homework before you spend the time and money bolting "he said, she said" to your car, ESPECIALLY anything to do with the powerplant. These other guys on this site are incredibly knowledgeable and know way more than I do so hopefully they can give you better insight, they're great people, listen to them and good luck.
