2G Boosted Fab Front Crossmember install question

Going to try and see if I can pick up a stock Crossmember and see if it fits. That would eliminate some questions on my end. Kind of stumped now
If you haven’t yet, the bolts holding the rear mount to the subframe, and also possibly the actual subframe to body bolts, would be the next two spots I would try to find some wiggle.

I have one if you can't find one locally. I can ship it to you and you can ship it back when you're done although shipping is kinda expensive so not sure if it's worth it.

Is anyone able to give me a measurement off their stock bar so I can compare it against my bf one to see where it would sit before I purchase a used one?any of the bolt holes to the centre of the transmission mount if possible

Appreciate that. I may be able to get one in Canada. Going to see if I can check measurements first of a stock one vs what I have here to see if it’s even worth it. Worst case I’ll have a local welder modify the bf bar

Got some measurements for you of the stock cross member. Measured center to center.

Transmission mount to front driver side mounting hole 10 1/16"
Transmission mount to front passenger side mounting hole 9 7/8"
Transmission mount to 1st rear mounting hole 22 5/8"
Transmission mount to 2nd rear mounting hole 28 3/4"

Thanks for these. So comparing those to my BF bar there is some differences that if I had I could fit it in.

Transmission mount to front drivers side on bf bar is 9-3/4”

Transmission mount to front Passenger side is 9.5”

Transmission mount to 1st rear hole is 22.5”

Seems like my biggest variance is the front mounts to the transmission

Let us know when you resolve this. A stock cross member and a good front mount should give some answers.

Have you considered reaching out to boosted fabrication and describe the problem that you are experiencing? I would go to the source and see what the scoop is. If that ends up at a dead end I would simply modify the mounting post on the cross member if need be.

He absolutely should after he verifies fitment with OEM parts. If the BF cross member is faulty then I would hope for a free replacement.

im wondering if its wrong HOW? unless its a setup on a welding bench where multiple holes are used over time to make different parts vs making jigs for each item? thats a wild guess currently but seems odd if they made them for ages and now its wrong which is why i suggest this as a jig specifically for it wont alter in anyway where as a each setup jig would depending on the person remembering the right holes in the table used etc.

hopefully it gets resolved and they figure out how many they made like that also

I've never welded in my life but I understand what you're saying. That bent front mount is suspect to me. How did that happen, an impact perhaps?

I had a similar issue when installing my bar. I had to enlarge the front holes a tad. However, I am a 2g with a 6 bolt bottom and auto trans. As already mentioned above about the different mount options. My mounts are the avid solid mounts (not 75a poly i think is the name?) which could of been a issue. What brand mounts to you have? Also, have you reached out to him to ask if maybe there was a issue on his end? He is extremely nice as I have bought a few things from him. Was your car hit at all causing something not be straight where the looser mounts would give to?

With all that being said, my solution was to do the driver side mount last. I would get the trans and rear started and then do the shimmy shake for the rest. Just make sure you dont use any studs/bolts to pull everything together.

If you cant get that bar to work, you can use 3g bushings from energy suspension part number 2476.
