so, as i was removing the bolts and nuts to the front crossmember that hold the suspension, steering, and one motor mount, the driver side nut came a little loose but the bolt started spinning too. i tried to put some pressure inbetween the frame and the crossmember and no joy. for those who dont know there is 4 bolts in the frame going down that is used to mount the crossmember. i ended up cutting it with a saw on the nut through the bolt. i didnt think there was any other way. the bolt is supposed to lock inside the frame when you tighten and loosen the nut but like i said it was just spinning.

Now my problem is how i can fix it. Has anyone had this problem before.
any suggestions

You really didn't want to cut that bolt. Most of the techniques for getting a nut off require vice grips or doublenutting. Which of the bolts is it? I had the same thing happen to the one the engine bay drivers side.

You will have to cut a portal in from above to remove and replace the bolt. This is going to be a pita. The front bolts are accessible thru enginebay or wheel well but you have to go thru 2 layers of thick metal. I have not done the rears.

Do not cut that bolt. Like previously said just grab some vice grips and an impant and blast it off. Mine spun when I did mine but I used an impact and it zipped off with no problems.

Guys, he's already crossed the bridge, that boat has sailed.

Drill down from "above" the bolt in question, enlarge the hole until you can remove the remnants.

Depending on which bolt it is, JNZ may be able to order the exact part, or you will be able to order an equivalent from McMaster or MSCDirect - tack weld in place and go back to what you were planning on doing in the first place. You might need to close the holes you drill, maybe not - it will depend on how large they end up and exactly where they are - post pics !

It's ugly but it's not that bad...I had to buy an Ingersol-Rand 1000 ft/lb air gun to remove those nuts - it won't cost you much more than I had to pay :)

Good luck with it !
