Im heading to the track on wednesday night, and im putting C16 ( 116 Octane ) gas in my car to up the boost, I can get away with running 20psi on 93 octane with only a few counts of knock, my question is how much more boost could/should I be able to run while on the C16, I was assuming around 23-25psi, all thoughts/opnions are welcome Thx

Hey,

I just went to the track last week and ran 112 octane at 19psi with 0 knock and every day on the street I run 16 psi and 93 octane with 0 knock as well.. Knock varies from car to car so try and get the most psi out of pump gas as possible before going to rce fuel.. Also when you run race fuel make sure you have a test pipe and an 02 sensor that wont foul in the presence of lead..

Good Luck!!

oh heavens, u can run as mauch as your little engine ill allow. LOL.

You can Run as much as you want. But you have to "Tune" as well.

so don't just expect to slap in the gas, crank the boost and not break something.

If you run 20psi with a good toon on pump gas. I'd start with 22-23psi log 1-2 runs. Tune as the Log show's. Then keep raising the boost and so on as long as tuning is going well.

I personally have seen as much as 35psi on a built motor and a 60trim.

When I am running c16 I usually crank it up. 25 psi shouldnt be a problem if your able to handle 20 on pump gas.
