I was looking into putting a big16g on my Talon. I was concerned about the amount of boost or hp you can put on a 2nd gen auto awd trans before you start having problems. Any of you auto guys out there that can give me an idea of what I can expect? Also what can I do to toughen up the trans., without just buying a new built one.

overkill on a bigass tranny cooler never hurt anyone ;)

I've never worked with a dsm auto for a personal car, but i'm pretty sure you could turn up the line pressure to get siffer shifts, and a general rule of thumb when dealing with automatics is that having a harder shift lengthens the life of the tranny

the only thing i have done with dsm auto trannies is replace them completely or install end clutches. the end clutches seem to go out in every single one of them (overdrive goes bye bye). It's a way easy job.
