Winnipeg,
I just did a boost leak test the other day and I couldn't build any pressure in the system unless I unhooked the vacuum hose coming from the 'A' port on the throttle body and plugged it. After plugging that port I could hold 25psi for like 1 minutes.. no leaks..

But if I didn't have the hose disconnected and plugged all the air I used to pressurize the system was coming out of the exhaust?!.. Anyone have any ideas as to why this would happen and what might be causing this?

Would this be considered a boost leak?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris.

I am putting money on the EGR valve, And yes that would be a boost leak. Is your car having driveability problems?

I am not really experiencing any driveability problems. The car holds boost solid at 15psi all the way to redline.. no spikes no creep.. Feels like it could pull a bit stronger though.
